done for the semester!
my last final was yesterday afternoon, so now i am officially done with my sophomore year at westmont. and after a 6 1/2 hour car drive, i am now back in sacramento but only for three weeks. so that should be enough time for me to enjoy my time at home and then finally leave. and of course i realized half way through our car drive that i forgot to pick up the malaria pills i needed at vons, so now i have to call them and have them mail it to sacramento. oh, the joy of getting medically prepared for going abroad!
so the major concern for me right now: what books am i going to bring to thailand? i know, i’m such a nerd, but seriously, what am i going to read when i’m over there- so much to choose from!
well, my mom is bringing back chinois for dinner (that’s chinese food for those who don’t know sacramento cuisine). i hope all you guys make it back home for the holidays safely and enjoy not having to do homework for a while.

SARAH!!! I really miss you! Can you please call me before you leave for Thailand? I cannot believe the semester is already over, did you like it? Was it a lot ifferent than last year? We really need to catch up. I am so proud of you for taking on this big adventure this Spring…I know it is going to change your life. Talk to you soon. Love you!
Hey sarah, I’m chilling you know. In the Phoenix International Airport. My flight for Texas leaves in like 45 minutes.. and I’m taking advantage of the wonderful free WiFi here in Sky Harbor International. Good stuff. Glad to see you made it nice and safely to Sacramento.. and as far as a book goes.. you should get “I Asked for Wonder” by none other than Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel himself.. or “To Heal a Fractured World” by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. Austin got it for me for Christmas.. and supposedly it’s amazing. He’s been lauding it all semester.. so now I finally get a chance to experience it. I would recommend those two books. Most definitely.
